Yes I know that lions and tigers and bears joke is the oldest lamest one in the blogosphere but what can I do... we recorded 3 shows in one day and each one is special and worthy of being showcased.


First up we have a special, 'breaking news' edition of our 30 minute tech show with Alex from iPhonePodcaster. He's been on our show in the past to talk about his iPhone streaming podcast web app but this interview came on the heels of his submission to the iPhone app store being rejected. The sound is a little choppy over skype but we get into a great discussion. Do take a listen to get the inside scoop on issues with the iPhone app store submission process and the impact it can have on an independent developer.




Even though the Kaos family currently has the iPhone love, it's only fair that we discuss other competing mobile platforms that are up-and-coming, so we picked up the phone conversation later on with the very knowledgeable Don Park who shared with us the ins and outs of Android (the google phone platform that is due out late fall early winter 08).




No Strange Love weekend would be complete without a healthy dose of afterhours. This particular afterhours has it all: geeks, underwear, barefoot lawn mowing, hot burning sun, naked people and we even burst into song... here's a snip it from the very active chat room and the hour long show. As for timing, well there is no way I could have received a better nudge than this post by one of my favorite blogging gals Deb on the Rocks.

For a while now I've been planning a "Sex Episode" of Strange Love Live with guests Missburrows and Melissa Lion. Planning. Thinking. Scheming. Contemplating a date...

The planning thinking and scheming will continue a little longer but the date is set. On Friday October 17th at 10 pm Strange Love Live will have it's first Q&A episode and the topic will be sex sex sex.

I'll wait a moment for you to catch your breath and deal with the sheer joy and drooling and or pink face and hot ears...

I'm not going to lie to you guys, this one may have gotten away from me just a little. I may or may not have had plans for the show but I can sure as hell tell you that Missburrows had plans.

Evil diabolical hilarious sexy plans.

What does that mean for you? That really depends on who you are...

If you're the parent of myself or the lovely Missburrows I would encourage you not to listen to the show. If you are the parent of anyone else and they are in the room... or the house... or a 3 block radius... I would encourage you to wear headphones.

If you're an employee and within a 3 block radius of your work I encourage you to wear headphones... or um... maybe just wait til later.

It also means that you should start counting the number of times we use the word vagina from the very beginning of the show.

Why? Well you won't know that til towards the end of the show but I assure you it's important.

Are you getting a sense that Strange Love is not for the faint of heart?

I recommend you grab yourself a piece of paper and a pencil and prepare to do some counting....

episode 007: my martin

In this seventh installment of Strange Love we find ourselves sitting in a dark room with Martin (a drunk Englishman wearing a pirate shirt).

Well drunk... may be a little bit of an overstatement...

and Englishman may be a bit of an exaggeration since he's also spent his fair share of time in the states...

and pirate shirt may be... well no. Pirate shirt was right on but that has very little to do with the show...

But what does happen on the show?

We have accents, david tennant's balls, a pocket watch, fish and chips, margaritas, pub quiz talk, holly, missburrows, boomerangs, pies, lawn darts, techno babble and a whole lot more... I guess really you'll just have to give a listen to find out exactly what it was we had to say...

I spent my Friday night talking to yet another terribly interesting amazing blog chick... Sybil Law.

To me though, Sybil is more than just a blogger chick. More than a blog wife. More than some drunk with a foul mouth. She's a tried and true friend that I just can't live without...

So what's it like when Sybil and I have a conversation? I think you'll just have to give it a listen to find out...



Was that huge 1 hour and 20 minutes not enough... I know... it was long... in the future we're setting a hard and fast time limit... this time though Mr. Kaos thought there were too many gems that couldn't be edited out. What can I say... he's a nut... but do you still want more Strange Love?
